MOKU MOKU Season 2 Casting Call
Welcome to the official casting call for MOKU MOKU Season 2!
We’re thrilled to invite talented actors from the County of Maui (Maui, Lānaʻi, Molokaʻi) to join our beloved series. If you are passionate about acting and can bring a character to life that fits into one of the following categories, we encourage you to apply. Please choose a COMEDIC monologue or scene of your liking, that is no more than 2 minutes in length for your self-tape:
Roles Needed:
Older Children (8-12 years)
- Theatre experience & athleticism a bonus
Young Adults (19-25 years)
- Local kids trying to live day-by-day
- Social media influencers with delusions of grandeur
- Athleticism a bonus
Adults (26-40 years)
- Locals in MLMs and get-rich-quick schemes

Middle-Aged Adults (41-60 years)

Submission Instructions:
- Headshot: Upload a recent headshot.
- Self-Tape: Record a self-tape following these guidelines:
- Choose a COMEDIC monologue or scene of your liking, that is no more than 2 minutes in length
- Monologues or scenes must be comedic and family-friendly.
- Slate in your natural accent, including your full name as submitted.
- Only slate once (no need to slate before each scene).
- Taping Tips:
- Tape indoors against a plain wall/background.
- Do not look directly at the camera.
- Frame tight (above the top of the head to mid-chest).
- Use a quiet room with little to no background noise.
- Ensure the primary light source comes from behind the camera.
- Use a tripod or stable surface for steady recording.
Submission Deadline:
- All submissions must be received by August 16th, 2024, 11:59 PM.
Audition Details:
- Selected candidates will be contacted for an in-person or virtual call-back audition via Google Meet on August 24 and 25.
Filming Schedule:
- Weekly filming with intermittent breaks starting in September, continuing as late as January for pick-ups. Precise schedules will be provided upon being offered roles.
